System III Will Stop The Corrosion CPT's System III has been developed over
the past 20 years to reverse the corrosion process. Utilizing our proprietary
C2A conductive mastic anode, System III provides powerful and permanent
corrosion protection. Our long life carbon conductive mastic tenaciously
bonds to the concrete surface to deliver a prescribed amount of DC current
directly through the concrete to reinforcing steel. C2A conforms to all
concrete surface irregularities thereby increasing system flexibility and
perfectly blending itself into the existing structure.
System Components
Superior Technology System III is controlled by a sophisticated
yet simple network of controls. A heavy-duty rectifier converts AC to DC
power, while utilizing approximately the amount of energy needed to run
a 120-watt light bulb. The DC current is distributed through a main junction
box to zones occupied by anode junction boxes. At each level the system
is calibrated to deliver calculated amounts of current to each balcony
zone. Platinum anode wires run off of header lines to deliver current to
the conductive mastic. Internal feedback controls consisting of imbedded
reference electrodes and a remote monitoring unit (RMU) allow the system
to be monitored on site or from a remote station.
